Stacked Heel Sandals

Stacked Heel Sandals (aka Block Heels) are a Spring Trend I recommend because of their versatility and comfort – and they’re cute!  Stacked heels work with skirts, shorts, pants, dresses and, of course, denim (another hot Spring trend).  They come in many heights providing great options and they are comfortable because the heel offers more surface area for stability.

I’ve selected a few options I think would make great updates to a wardrobe.  They represent different price points but I feel all versatile depending on your personal style.  Click on the link above the photo to learn more about the selection or to purchase – all are available at Nordstrom.

Fringe Trend

If you like being current,  jumping on the Fringe Trend is an easy wardrobe update for Fall.  Fringe has been incorporated into clothing pieces, shoes, handbags and accessories so there is a plethora of options to choose from. Especially easy to incorporate with a handbag or shoe.  But, if you are bit more fashion forward perhaps choose a clothing item like a fringe skirt, vest or jacket. However, don’t overdo it — one fringe item per outfit or you risk resembling a yarn mop!

For more information on the pieces I have selected, click on the highlighted description above the photo.

Back to School 2015

Summer 2015 was fantastic but today the gang heads Back to School!!  Each year gets tougher for me.  This year my son (who will not let me post pics of him) graduates from High School, Liz heads into her sophomore year, Cate enters 8th grade and graduates Middle School and Ali, our youngest, goes into 5th grade – our last year as parents of an elementary schooler…seems surreal!  However, with Back to School comes Back to School fashion!

Here are a few photos of my girls and their choices for that all important first day back to school outfit.

Effortless Chic in a Jumpsuit

Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up in the morning, slip into one thing, look totally chic and be comfortable?

Carola Muis

It’s possible with a jumpsuit!  They are great pieces for looking chic and pulled together effortlessly.  Available in a variety of styles and fabrics – the only effort needed is in finding the right one to best flatter your figure.

Paige denim makes the featured jumpsuit. It could be worn with a dressier wedge or heel but the fabric and the design are suited to casual dressing.  Wear a slip-on sneaker and it is a super casual but still chic look.  The cotton fabric is so soft and comfortable it feels like loungewear!

Worn with open-toe stacked booties by Steve Madden and a fringe clutch by Santana found at DSW.

(Tip:  Update your wardrobe with inexpensive, trendy accessories that look high quality.)
